China Airlines

China Airlines has consistently been Taiwan's largest airline company and one of Asia's leading carriers since its 1959 founding. China Airlines is based out of Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), which boasts convenient high-speed rail and freeway connections to all major business and industrial hubs in Taiwan, an economic powerhouse known around the world as the "Island of Technology." As of the end of June 2011, China Airlines operates 68 aircraft, including 49 passenger jets and 19 freighters. CAL fleet consists of the world's most advanced aircraft, with average age of just 8.3 years. China Airlines currently serves 98 destinations in 29 countries and regions worldwide, connecting Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania, and offering superb, comfortable and safe service.

In addition to passenger and cargo transportation, China Airlines also provides integrated services such as travel booking, catering, laundry and express freight services, as well as operating two exquisite hotels in Hawaii and Taiwan. On top of that, China Airlines is the leading carrier on cross-Taiwan Strait passenger and cargo flight routes, operating more than 100 scheduled flights non-stop from Taiwan to over 20 major cities in China on a weekly basis, as well as 145 scheduled flights to Hong Kong every week.

China Airlines is without a doubt the largest airline connecting the Greater China region, narrowing the geographic distance between Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and symbolizing the tremendous business synergy brought about by the rapid exchange of people and goods between both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
