SkyTeam NewsFlash - February 2004

SkyTeam, the global airline alliance partnering Aeromxico, Air France, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air, sets itself apart by offering an exclusive experience for all passengers. SkyTeam NewsFlash, issued monthly, enables the alliance to keep key media fully up-to-date with its most recent developments. Please read on for this month's update of SkyTeam activities.

Dedicated to New Destinations -SkyTeam member Air France continues to meet the needs of alliance customers by providing access to all parts of the world. Air France is launching "Dedicate," a new service featuring scheduled routes and direct flights from Paris to some of the more remote parts of the world, making life easier for professionals traveling to construction projects, production sites and other major areas of economic activity.

Last month, Air France began flights to Pointe Noire in the Republic of Congo and Malabo in Equatorial Guinea. During the upcoming year, customers will find new network additions including Kuwait, Doha (Qatar), Kish Island (Islamic Republic of Iran), Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and Atyrau (Kazakhstan-subject to granting of traffic rights.)

"Dedicate" flights will operate using 82-seat Airbus A319s, offering business and economy cabins. Scheduled to fly from the Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub, flights will connect passengers to "Dedicate" and SkyTeam destinations throughout the network.

Alitalia is also expanding its portfolio of desired locations for SkyTeam travel-new cities include Washington D.C., Delhi, Manchester, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Luxenburgh. With the additions, Alitalia and SkyTeam continue to meet the travel needs of passengers around the world.

Geneva and Beyond - Passengers departing from Geneva, Switzerland can now see the sky from the terminal. SkyTeam members Air France and Alitalia have opened a new joint ticketing and check-in counter at Geneva-Cointrin Airport, improving the quality of services offered to customers.

Geneva is the 17th airport in which SkyTeam partners operate a ticketing and check-in counter. Through the joint ticketing counters, SkyTeam passengers have a central location to check in for SkyTeam flights and work with representatives from member airlines who understand customer needs and the benefits of the alliance.

A "Variation" in Award-Winning Advertising - SkyTeam Cargo said "if you can imagine it, we can ship it," and Air Transport World agreed. As part of its 2004 Advertising Awards, Air Transport World selected SkyTeam Cargo as the recipient of the "Golden Trophy" in the category of Cargo Services for its advertising campaign, "If You Can Imagine It, We Can Ship It." The campaign highlighted the Variation product and demonstrated that the only limit to SkyTeam Cargo is the customer's imagination, not the products and services offered.

In other advertising news, SkyTeam member Korean Air won the Silver Award from ATW in the Corporate Category for the "Our People Make it Happen" advertisement.

SkyTeam Cargo continues to grow as the leading global airline alliance, offering customers a worldwide system of more than 500 destinations in 114 countries.
