A Union for CSA Czech Airlines-When the Czech Republic joined the European Union on May 1, new rules and regulations affected travel in the nation, including passengers on CSA Czech Airlines.
National identity cards will now be mutually accepted in addition to typical passports for EU passengers traveling between member countries. The on-board experience will also evolve for EU travel-CSA Czech Airlines in-flight sales will remain, but the goods will no longer be duty and VAT free. Rather, duty free sales will solely continue on CSA Czech Airlines flights to destinations outside of the EU.
CSA Czech Airlines will continue to develop its plans for innovations at its home airport in Prague, while exploring options to establish another hub outside of Prague. Such plans will offer passengers additional flights to new routes and new destinations, thus opening up the European market. With this business strategy, CSA Czech Airlines firmly establishes its role as the SkyTeam gateway to Eastern Europe, meeting the needs of SkyTeam travellers around the world.
In the meantime, CSA Czech Airlines continues to increase flight options for SkyTeam passengers, with further expansion to areas around the world to be announced in the near future. Recent new destinations include Samara, Yekaterinburg, Baku, Cracow, Dortmund, Luxembourg and Marseille.
Korean Connects its Passengers to the World -SkyTeam passengers traveling via Korean Air now can keep in touch with people on the ground while flying to destinations around the network. The airline recently selected Boeing's "Connexion" to provide high-speed Internet based communications in-flight.
The partnership with Boeing is part of Korean Air's commitment to providing customers with a greatly enhanced in-flight experience, offering passengers real-time, high speed Internet and email access as an option to pass their time in the cabin.
