Ease of travel

Convenient Connections with SkyTeam

Wherever your journey takes you, you want seamless connections and a hassle-free travel experience before, during and after your flights.

SkyTeam Hubs

One of our main objectives at SkyTeam is to act as one virtual airline – offering fast and smooth transfers for you and your baggage between flights. SkyTeam hubs help to make this coordination possible.

Find Flights

Thanks to the extensive SkyTeam network, itineraries with connecting flights are simple to arrange. The combined flight schedules give you more choices and make connections faster and easier.

Shared SkyTeam location

SkyTeam continuously reviews it’s worldwide network for opportunities to locate joint services in order to enhance your travel experience by offering you more convenient transfers and a more consistent check-in process.

All SkyTeam airlines serving Heathrow share a single location in Terminal 4 as well as combined airport services, including check-in desks, self-service kiosks and baggage drop-off locations. Terminal 4 holds SkyTeam’s first exclusive premium check-in area for customers traveling in Business and First Class as well as Elite and Elite Plus members.

SkyTeam Member airlines also collaborated in creating the alliance’s first two-floor SkyTeam branded lounge in Terminal 4, opposite Gate 10.

Other examples of our efforts to make connections easier are our shared Members’ location at Barcelona Airport, Beijing Capital International Airport, Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Tokyo Narita International Airport. All joint facilities offer check-in kiosks, premium customer check-in facilities, transfer desks and shared lounge facilities.

Planning for Your Convenience

SkyTeam carriers are dedicated to planning and optimizing connecting flights. Aside from proactive measures to avoid misconnections, wherever possible any inconvenienced passengers are offered seats on an alternative flight. This is part of the SkyTeam Hubways™ program available at hub airports in Amsterdam, Paris, Minneapolis and Detroit; it will eventually be added to all SkyTeam Hub airports.

Transfer Kiosks in the Works

To help make transfers smoother, SkyTeam airlines are developing transfer kiosks at several airport facilities. If passengers miss their connecting flights, these kiosks allow them to print new boarding passes for alternative flights and receive attention and assistance, such as drink/meal vouchers or hotel accommodations when needed.
