Climate

Bangkok has a tropical monsoon climate. The temperature doesn't fluctuate much, with average highs ranging from 88°F (31°C) to 95°F (35°C) throughout the year. Book air-conditioned accommodations. Humidity is always high, reaching extremely uncomfortable levels from April to June. Rain falls between May and October. November to February, when the weather is dry and temperatures relatively comfortable, is Bangkok's peak tourist season. Book your flights and hotels as far in advance as possible.

Voltage

220V AC, 50 Hz, two-pin plugs are standard.

Money

The unit of currency in Thailand is the Thai baht (THB), which consists of 100 satang. Tourist shops, hotels and malls exchange major currencies, but you'll get a better rate at banks. ATMs are also a convenient place to get money. Note that travelers leaving Thailand can take out no more than 50,000 baht per person.
