The easiest way to travel to central Buenos Aires is on a shuttle operated by
Manuel Tienda León. Shuttles run every 30 minutes to Terminal
Madero in the city centre. The trip takes around 40 minutes outside rush hour and
costs peso35 to the city centre, or you can ask to be dropped at your centrally
located hotel.
If you'd rather travel like the locals, aren't carrying too much
luggage and have plenty of time to spend, make your way to the route 86 bus stop and
have peso1.85 ready in loose change. Bus 86 will get you from the airport to
central Plaza de Mayo in around two hours.
Car
The drive into central Buenos Aires takes around 40 minutes, but allow at least an
hour if you're driving during rush hour. Take the Ricchieri Highway and
follow the signs to the city centre. You can arrange car hire in Terminal A.
Taxi
Ignore the touts and head straight to the official yellow cab rank outside the
Arrivals halls of Terminals A and B. The trip into central Buenos Aires should take
40 minutes or so and cost around peso80. You can also order a remis (or
private car) through Manuel Tienda León (peso115) or Transfer
Express.
