A range of 20th-century fashion and design is up for auction at Christie's. Prized lots include a late 1940s Hermès coat, 1960s graphic Pucci pieces and trend-setting Ossie Clark pieces from the 1970s.
The bi-annual auction of couture and vintage fashion is just one of the many 20th century sales at Christie's South Kensington in this particular week.
Fashion connoisseurs can also bid competitively for Pierre Balmain's 1950s printed coats, 1980s ballgowns by Elizabeth Emanuel and Vera Wang's bespoke 1990s evening wear. Sought-after handbags, luggage and jewellery are on sale alongside the clothes. Estimated prices range from £200 to £2000.
