The Plasticity exhibition at London's Science Museum looks at the influence, effects and future of plastic, a world-changing material that was discovered a century ago by Leo Baekeland.

The exhibition displays some important plastic products, from nylon stockings to Tupperware, and examines what the future might hold as we enter an age of increasing environmental awareness.
