Nice's annual Festival International de Musique Militaire opens with the Trooping of the Colour at La Place Masséna on Friday night (6pm).
A series of free concerts are then held at selected venues across the city and at 9pm, the Opéra de Nice resounds to the jubilant military notes of the Soirée de Gala.
Saturday sees the major Grande Parade at Nice's Stade du Ray, while a final parade along the Promenade des Anglais brings the festival to a close.
