SkyTeam Carriers Set to Open New Location in Brussels Airport
Alliance Continues Drive to Provide Customers with Co-located Facilities

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM, May 28, 2003 — SkyTeam, the number two airline alliance in the world, today said it would open a new co-located facility at Brussels National Airport to better serve alliance customers.

The new ticket counter and check-in facility will offer customers 15 fully-staffed service locations that will help customers move quickly through the check-in process and proceed to their flights. Employees of Air France, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, and Delta Air Lines will staff the area. The new facility is expected to be ready to serve customers July 1, 2003.

Co-located SkyTeam ticket counters offer good visibility for arriving customers, which will help them with check-in, improve customer service, offer better control of check-in counters and will improve efficiency and productivity. The new facility will create a close working relationship with the other airline employees, all of the employees will improve teamwork, and it will motivate employees to increase their knowledge of other SkyTeam members.

The new Brussels airport facility is one of 13 co-located airport facilities offered to customers by SkyTeam. Other global co-locations include Venice, Paris, Atlanta, and Incheon.

Work at the Brussels airport, which began in December 2002, is expected to cost approximately EUR 12,000. The local contract is BIAC-Brussels International Airport Company.

In addition to airport co-locations, SkyTeam offers customers joint city ticket offices facilities in 11 cities, including Paris, New York, and Rome; as well as airport lounges in 14 cities around the globe, including Incheon, Prague, and Mexico City.

SkyTeam members Aeromexico, Air France, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta and Korean Air provide a route network concentrated in the most competitive markets where nearly 80 percent of airline travelers want to fly.

SkyTeam offers frequent flyers the opportunity to earn miles when flying any of the six member airlines. These miles can be exchanged for rewards (such as tickets for flights on any SkyTeam airline). Furthermore, top-tier flyers on each of the alliance airlines automatically attain SkyTeam Elite and Elite Plus status with enhanced benefits that are additional to all member airlines' current frequent flyer program offerings. SkyTeam Elite members receive priority waitlist for reservations at the airport, as well as separate check-in.

Customers with Elite Plus status qualify for the aforementioned benefits as well as guaranteed economy-class reservations, priority baggage handling, and access to more than 300 SkyTeam airport lounges for international trips, regardless of travel class.

SkyTeam is the global airline alliance partnering Aeromexico, Air France, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air. Through one of the world's most extensive hub networks, SkyTeam offers its 220 million annual passengers a worldwide system of approximately 8,200 daily flights covering all major destinations. In 2002, Global Finance magazine named SkyTeam the best airline in their list of the "Best Global Companies." Visit SkyTeam on the Web at www.skyteam.com.
