SkyTeam Cargo Members Grow Electronic Reservation Capabilities A unique element of SkyTeam is the alliance's cargo offering. Late last month, SkyTeam Cargo members Air France Cargo and Delta Air Logistics extended electronic reservation services via Global Freight Exchange (GF-X), the neutral reservations system for the airfreight industry, to ten additional stations. The system presents added convenience to customers by offering a consistent electronic reservation interface. In addition, GF-X enables Air France Cargo and Delta Air Logistics to link electronically with major corporate accounts and provides a vital trading platform for their alliance. The new stations served by both members include Zurich, Geneva and Basel, Switzerland; Mulhouse, France; Brussels, Belgium; and Amsterdam, The Netherlands. In addition, new origination points served by Air France Cargo include Stockholm, Sweden; Singapore and Bangkok, Thailand; and Tokyo and Osaka Japan. Eight other stations served by SkyTeam Cargo members are already connected to GF-X. More cities will be added in the coming months. SkyTeam Members Air France and Korean Air Open Co-Location in Beijing In early July, Air France and Korean Air opened a co-located ticketing counter at Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). Korean Air moved to the counter, located on the third floor of Terminal two, on July 1. Now, SkyTeam passengers traveling through PEK have a central location for all their traveling needs.
