SkyTeam, The Alliance Du Choix

SkyTeam is the alliance of choice for French and Italian business travelers, according to a new survey conducted by international market research company Martin Hamblin GfK. 53% of French travelers and 42% of Italian travelers surveyed identified SkyTeam as their preferred alliance for air travel. In addition, respondents indicated that European travelers look for convenient scheduling and airport proximity when flying for business, and continue to book flights through travel agencies but are increasingly interested in the options offered by airline Web sites.

The survey, commissioned by SkyTeam member Delta Air Lines, focused on the habits and choices of business travelers when they fly, including booking preferences, preferred style of flying, and desired in-flight experiences.

One Ticket from Seoul to Seattle, Please

Starting this month, passengers flying to the U.S. on SkyTeam member Korean Air benefit from enhanced travel convenience with the addition of 65 new U.S. destinations. Korean Air expanded the number of codeshare offerings via its SkyTeam partner Delta Air Lines. The new codeshare routes offer Korean Air passengers additional access to southern and eastern destinations in the U.S., including Seattle and Las Vegas. With the latest additions to its codeshare agreement, the total number of U.S. destinations offered to Korean Air customers increases to 110.

The codeshare relationship between Korean Air and Delta dates back to 1995. Delta customers enjoy codeshare opportunities to popular destinations in Asia via Korean Air, including Bangkok, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
