NEW YORK, September 15, 2009 – SkyTeam passengers traveling to Mexico on SkyTeam partner airlines can now take advantage of discounted flight coupons with the SkyTeam Mexico Pass. The new fare product, which launches today, provides significant cost savings and allows passengers to explore up to 42 destinations in Mexico via flights operated by Aeroméxico.

Passengers can choose from a minimum of three to an unlimited amount of discounted flight coupons for travel within Mexico in conjunction with an international ticket to Mexico or Round the World ticket purchase on any SkyTeam partner airline. The Mexico Pass provides flexible travel options, as there is no minimum or maximum requirement on length of stay and both circle trips and open jaw tickets are permitted.

The Mexico Pass offers a discount of approximately 50 percent over standard air fare. For example, an adult passengers traveling Mérida – Villahermosa – Veracruz – Mexico City – Cancun will pay USD 361 versus the conventional air fare of USD 721. Fares are calculated based on the distance flown on each coupon plus applicable taxes, surcharges and/or fees.
