FAQs SkyCare&Protect

SkyCare&Protect is SkyTeam’s commitment to keeping you safer as you travel thanks to a consistent and enhanced series of health and hygiene measures that are aligned across our global member airlines.

Measures include but are not limited to: guidance and information on travel requirements and airline policies; more frequent sanitizing of aircraft; hand sanitizer stations at hub airports; using HEPA filters on board aircraft; wearing of face masks whenever mandatory; and offering more contactless airport services.

Keeping you informed is an essential part of SkyCare&Protect. The latest requirements for your journey are available on our members’ websites. You can find out about mandatory health credentials via an online tool on SkyTeam.com.

Wearing face coverings at the airport and/or on board is subject to airline and/or local government regulations. You can find the latest travel requirements for your trip, by clicking on your airline’s logo.

High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters are used to deliver clean air on board our members’ aircraft. These filters remove 99.9% of particles, including viruses.

Our members offer a number of ways to reduce contact at the airport, such as online check-in and contactless boarding. Check with your airline to see what services are available for your trip.

The travel requirements map provides help and information on the latest requirements for your trip. Make sure you comply with any governmental regulations for your itinerary (including transfers), according to your nationality, country of residence and age and bring all relevant documentation with you when you fly.

Many SkyTeam members are rolling out a new boarding pass indicator – SKYCLEARED – that signifies your documents have been validated by our member airlines and meet requirements to offer you peace of mind.

Sanitising cleaning wipes are available on demand, so you can further clean your personal space should you wish.
