James Whitelaw was appointed as SkyTeam's Vice President Airport Services in March 2016. Based at the alliance's headquarters in Amsterdam, he is responsible for strategy and implementation of all airport-related SkyTeam projects, including driving improvements in operational efficiency and the overall customer experience. He is also responsible for the SkyTeam Branded Lounges located in key locations worldwide.
Whitelaw began his career at Delta Air Lines and has held leadership positions in the company's Reservation Sales department, Operations Control Center, Cargo, Airport Customer Service, and Airport Strategy and Technology. He holds academic degrees in International Affairs from Georgia Tech, a Master of Science in Technical Management, and a Master in Business Administration from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
