SkyTeam appoints Patrick Roux as new CEO and Managing Director
SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, has named Patrick Roux as its new CEO/Managing Director, effective 1 October 2022. An industry veteran with more than 30 years’ experience, Patrick joins SkyTeam from the Air France-KLM Group, where he spent the last 15 years working at executive levels across key roles covering strategic and operational leadership, most recently as Senior Vice President Alliances.

Virgin Atlantic to join SkyTeam Alliance
SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, and Virgin Atlantic have today announced that the UK airline will join as SkyTeam’s newest member in early 2023. Virgin Atlantic will become SkyTeam’s first and only UK member airline, enhancing the alliance’s transatlantic network and services to and from Heathrow and Manchester Airport.

SkyTeam Elite Plus, First and Business Class customers flying from Sydney will enjoy a warm welcome, enhanced amenities and a more sustainable experience in SkyTeam’s dedicated lounge which reopens this week. Fully refurbished while international travel was suspended, the lounge has been redesigned from the floor up to offer a brand-new space in the same place.

Delta and Aeromexico launch touchless check-in, powered by SkyTeam technology
Traveling on an itinerary that includes flights on both Aeromexico and Delta is getting easier thanks to seamless technology introduced by the two SkyTeam member airlines. Travelers can now check in digitally and get their boarding passes through either airline’s self-service channels, then go directly to security without needing to use a kiosk or see an agent, offering a faster, touchless airport experience.
