A new Aerolineas Argentinas flight departs today for Moscow

BUENOS AIRES, 22 August 2021 - Aerolineas Argentinas confirmed a new departure to Moscow in search of more doses of the Sputnik V vaccine.

Flight AR1064 is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and is scheduled to land at Sheremetievo Airport at 2:30 p.m. on Monday (local arg). The return, under the number AR1065, is scheduled to depart at 6.30 pm (local arg) and the arrival at Ezeiza International Airport at 11.00 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, 400,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine arrived at dawn on board Aerolineas Argentinas flight AR1133.

“Each flight is important because it means more people who are going to be protected. Continuing to advance in the vaccination schemes puts us closer and closer to the exit”, said Pablo Ceriani, head of Aerolineas Argentinas.

The new flight is the company's 23rd operation to the Russian Federation and at the time 12,213,375 doses of Sputnik V were transported. In addition, 17 flights were made from Beijing in which 12,875,200 doses of Sinopharm arrived, 2 flights from Memphis with 3,500,000 doses of Moderna and 1 flight from Madrid with 400,000 doses of Astrazeneca.

In total, the number of doses transported by Aerolineas Argentinas in 42 completed operations is 28,988,575.
