Responsible Alcohol Consumption Policy

In the SkyTeam Lounge we want everyone to enjoy the time they share with us, whether as guests or employees. In order to ensure a safe and comfortable environment in the lounge and on board, we have established a responsible alcohol consumption policy in cooperation with our airline partners, as part of the house rules. This document outlines the responsible alcohol consumption policy, including what this means to you and your guests.

The key objectives are to prevent crime and disorder, prevent public nuisance, protect public health, secure public safety, and protect children from harm. Under European Law, it is an offense to board an aircraft whilst appearing to be intoxicated.

In order for us to meet these objectives we have put in place the following policies and procedures:

Open bar policy
- Although we operate an open bar, our staff carefully monitors alcohol consumption
- Staff has been instructed to politely advise any guest of this policy and the law if they believe the levels of consumption may pose a threat to public safety and/or travel plans

Underage alcohol consumption policy
- Guest must be of legal drinking age in order to consume alcoholic beverages
- Customers may be asked for proof of age

Violent, aggressive or illegal behaviour
- Our policy is strict and uncompromising. Any guest who acts in an aggressive, violent, or threatening manner will be immediately reported to the police

In lounge policy
- It is forbidden to remove any consumables from the lounge for consumption outside the lounge

Service to intoxicated customers
- The lounge will not permit entry to intoxicated customers. If the lounge visit was booked and paid for in advance, no refund will be issued
- Any guest who appears to be intoxicated will
be asked to immediately discontinue drinking alcoholic beverages
- Any guest who is appears to be intoxicated will be asked to immediately leave the lounge. Lounge employees may contact airport security and the airline on which the guest is traveling
- Any guest attempting to continue to serve alcohol to an intoxicated guest will be asked to immediately discontinue and may be asked to leave the lounge
