MIAMI, 6 November 2013 –Aerolineas Cargo, the cargo division of Aerolineas Argentinas, today joined the SkyTeam Cargo Alliance during the Air Cargo Americas Show held at the Miami Airport Convention Center. The airline becomes the 12th member carrier of the SkyTeam Cargo Alliance and adds over 30 Latin American destinations to SkyTeam Cargo’s global network.
Representing the SkyTeam Cargo Executive Board, Mr. Mauricio Nieto, CEO of Aeromexico Cargo was joined by Mr.Marcelo W. Bottini, Aerolineas Argentinas’ Regional Director North America, Central America, Venezuela, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, in signing the Alliance Agreement during a press conference to announce the union.
“Aerolineas Cargo strengthens our presence in the growing Latin American market, particularly in the southern cone of South America,” said Mr. Nieto. “As the only global airline cargo alliance, SkyTeam Cargo is known for its high standards and its customer-focused freight products. The additional of Aerolineas Cargo will enable us to develop our one roof program in the southern hemisphere and increase our reach in this region.”
