Meet Katerina
Chief Information Security Officer
My name is Katerina Sibinovska Mitikj and I am the Chief Information Security Officer for SkyTeam. I joined SkyTeam in September 2021, and my focus is to deliver best in class information security ecosystem that balances the protection of SkyTeam and our ability to adopt innovative technology. Working closely with our members to further enhance our security control environment is a strong aspect of my role.
My motto is “You are never too small to make a difference” and SkyTeam culture underpins that motto.
If I am to describe SkyTeam’s culture with one word, I would say it is a family. Many times, we have different opinions, ideas, and approaches but we always respect each other, and at the end of the day we all have the same goal.
We are focused on delivering our vision of powering the safest and most seamless customer experience of any global alliance, and all that is possible by the hard work and dedication of our team.
Everyone is extremely passionate about the industry we are in, and the value we bring to our members. In SkyTeam we welcome diversity and inclusion.

With SkyCare&Protect we make international travel safer and easier, with seamless check-in experience we will be saving hundreds of thousands of customers from having to wait in line. SkyTeam’s sustainable flight challenge is an inspiring initiative which is bringing ideas on how to reduce aviation’s environmental impact (how cool is that? 😊) Our RISE leadership program, boost gender diversity in the aviation industry.
I get to work closely with and learn from (security) experts in the aviation industry. For me, working for SkyTeam provides that feeling of pride!
